About

Julia Nemfield (b.1996) is a Toronto based research artist working primarily with photography. In her work, Julia often strives to find a delicate balance between truth and humour. The oddities in her work reflect her persistent investigation of the human psyche and the pre-existing notions that dominate our society. Often, after considerable psychological research, Julia uses photography to call into question our thought processes surrounding privilege and gender equality.
